Em algum lugar do mundo, há uma oficina de um inventor chamado Doc and his Dog, Sprocket. Enquanto Doc passa seus dias chegando com novas ideias, Sprocket está olhando para um grande buraco na tabela de base. Ele sabe que algo vive atrás da parede. Através do buraco e para baixo do túnel, escondidos da realidade cotidiana, são cavernas brilhantemente iluminadas cheias de criaturas maravilhosas. Esta terra, unidas por Magic, é chamada Fraggle Rock. As criaturas mais notáveis que habitam este belo lugar são os Fraggles. Fraggles são peludos, têm caudas, e vêm em todos os tipos de cores. Os Fraggles passam seus dias rindo, espirrando, correndo, cantando, jogando e contando piadas. Eles vivem por um simples código sem cuidados.
