Através da introdução de sua amiga Danma Ryuji, Onizuka Eikichi, ex-membro lendária de gangue de bicicletas, visita a Academia Meishu para cuidar das árvores no jardim como um jardineiro de meio período. Ao saber que Yoshikawa Noboru, aluno da turma do professor Fuyutsuki Azusa está sendo intimidado por Uehara Kyoko e outros colegas de classe, Onizuka faz amizade e salva Yoshikawa. Vendo a resposta sem precedentes, mas visceral e poderosa de Onizuka, para resolver problemas, o presidente e diretor da escola, Sakurai Yoshiko, substitui a resistência de seu vice-diretor Uchiyamada Hiroshi e faz de Onizuka uma professora. Onizuka passa a abordar muitas questões como o professor responsável pela classe mais problemática, classe 2-4.
