Daktari (Suaíli para "médico") foi uma série de televisão que foi ao ar na CBS de 1966 a 1969, com Marshall Thompson como Dr. Marsh Tracy, veterinário do fictício Wameru Study Center for Animal Behavior na África Oriental. O show seguiu o trabalho do Dr. Tracy, sua filha Paula (Cheryl Miller), e sua equipe, que eram frequentemente forçados a proteger animais de caçadores furtivos e funcionários locais. Os animais de estimação de Tracy, um leão de olhos cruzados chamado Clarence e o chimpanzé Judy, também eram personagens populares. Daktari foi baseado no filme de 1965 Clarence, o Leão De Olhos Cruzados, que também estrelou Thompson como Dr. Tracy.
